John H.
Rummel, M.D.
Dr. John Rummel is a Certified Diplomat of the American
Board of Ophthalmology and a Certified Diplomat of the American
Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and
a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the
Arizona Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Rummel specializes
in small-incision, sutureless cataract surgery, and surgery
for other eye conditions. He is an Aviation Medical Examiner
for the FAA and a Lt. Col. and Flight Surgeon with the Arizona
Air National Guard. After completing medical training at
the University of Arizona College of Medicine, he served
his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Arizona
Medical Center. Dr. Rummel served a general medical internship
at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and
an internal medicine internship at the Veterans’ Administration
Hospital in Sioux Falls. He is a staff physician at Yavapai
Regional Medical Center and the Prescott Out-Patient Surgery
Center; and a consulting physician at the Veterans’
Administration Medical Center in Prescott. He resides in
Prescott with his wife, Roni, and two children.
